Percussion

Percussion, or the striking of one hard object against another, can become a very complex study when multiple percussions occur at the same time. The interaction of numerous percussive instruments playing together can lead to very interesting rhythmic patterns, and the study of harmony is closely related to the study of rhythm. As can be seen in Rhythm (in-depth), by increasing rhythmic complexity, we also increase harmonic nuance and complexity.
