4-Note Structures

Most
4-Part Jazz Harmony, from the simplest to the most complex, can be derived from following set of fundamental 4-note chord structures:

1.       maj 6  -  equivalent to m7

2.       min 6  -  equivalent to m7(b5)

3.       dom 7

4.       dom 7(b5)

5.       dim 7

Furthermore, all these chords come from 8-note scales.
